perfection.
love everything about the outfits in these photos. in the first photo i love all the accessories, the nail polish and the simple yet beautiful hairdo. in the second photo i love the idea of layering lace over floral print it gives the outfit more of a vintage feel. I also adore those sun glasses, i'm on the look out for a pair of those. Agggh the final photo- i just love every bit. the back of that top/dress (not sure what it is since i can't see the bottom) is just so stunning gives me a little idea for a d.i.y. I also love how it's dressed down with a denim top thrown on the waste and the little knit hat atop her head in addition to the multiple bracelets on her wrists.

top it off
Baaaack, well I have been for almost a month now :S my bad on not posting all this time. It's just every time I have an outfit I'd very much like to post I can't find the camera or realize I never snapped it before I got scrubbed out. Terribleness I know, and I apologize- I will get better at this just you wait. Anywho the trip was great, check out my other blog www.gabdez.blogspot.com (curbside propet) for all the details- still have yet to post about them but check it out in a couple of days hah. So here's to my first post since ages ago. Yes it's already somewhat old and being done pretty much all over the world (Europe/Asia/North America) but it's the BUN. I loved it then, love it now, will always love it. Especially since it's so versatile, wear it waaay up on your head, low at bottom, in a chignon on the side, quick and messy, with ribbons or bows, braids, super puffy or neat like a ballerina. I simply love them, they're simple- yet achieving the perfect bun when you want to isn't at all easy. Somedays I get the perfect one when I wake up and tie it up before washing my face, then I look in the mirror and say "okay, today's a bun day" cause I know for a fact if I let it down I can't get it back the same. So cheers to buns, fresh and ready to go for the summer, now I think I'll go and try to add the braid in the first photo, if not looks like my sister will have to do my hair some day soon :)

just some real nice photographs i found. i love the colour and feel, how it seems like it was taken in the 60's or early 70's. love it. the colours the simpleness and especially that white lace dress. so i've had no time whatsover to take photos thanks to job searching and all. but now with my portfolio out of the way i might be able to squeeze some time in. i need some good stuff for the trip to costa rica like luggage to start with heh...oh my. 46 days to go!

beautiful movement
these photos simply glamorize the 60's. makes me wish i lived during that time, but then again now fashion has so much more freedom, now style is fashionable if worn with the right attitude. the fashion police don't have so much control on what's in and what's out. it's every day people who are now inspiring designers, who would have ever though? but back to these simple and beautiful shots. everything flawless, from the sparkley sheer tights, to the twisted long ponytail to the movement of the models. they make taking a jumping picture seem to effortless, although i know it for sure is not. i honestly have to learn how to master a jumping shot without having my mouth opened in a super cheezy highschool musical type smile. i'll practice that later.

my apologies
i know i've been a tad MIA from this blog, but hey give me a lil slack. i don't have a camera that takes good photos (ex. mine at the moment either has super high flash, or shoots in all in black and red...) so for now another celeb style inspiration will do. yes it is one of the olsens, can you guess who? ashley of course, i find her sisters a little too "i don't care what i wear, hey look i look drugged 24/7" at least lately she's looking a bit more put together but i honestly don't have time to be searching for a decent outfit out of her candid shots. so here's a bit of ashley o.
i
i would really love to get my hands on a pair charcoal acid wash cigarette jeans. i just have to find the right fit- i'm so finicky about my jeans, unlike most girls i gotta make sure it looks like a have a but- it's a latin thing (and that is a huge run on sentance i need to go back to school). and i can not wait to where shorts and sandals all the time. COSTA RICA I COME! i also need to purchase a pair of good shades and contacts, cause i really don't feel like wearing my super thick rimmed spectacles in central america. why? 1.) the dirt and dust all over my lenses, that for sure won't help me see at all 2.) no protection from the sun = more damage to my eyes.
as for the bottom two photos, well they just depict her clean & simple effortless put together style. and if my mom could have it her way she'd have me dressing like this forever. not that i won't want to, i like it, but i wear what i feel. and i suppose a part of me prefers to dress indie boho oversized shirts in sort of rebellion to my mom's preference of style. i don't want to be a mini clone of her, i'd rather me my own person thank you.
ohh and i have made a couple golden purchases lately. such as the black strapless jumper i found and a designer consignment boutique downtown. oh that store was wonderful. the shoe selection was amazing. except it was difficult to find my size amongst all the size 8's and 9's. but i did manage to find a pair of vintage versace black leather boots. they were gorgeous. i just wasn't able to purchase them due to having to pay for my passport and the rent coming up soon. it was sad leaving them there, but i guess it wasn't meant to be.

Tell me, are you a runaway, Sweet sweat on a summers day,
"one, two, three- all for free
her pretty face, her pretty gaze. flash your lady."
i'm not too crazy about her character on gossip girl, or vanessa's outfits but in reality jessica szohr has got style. i love the type of outfits that appear thrown together, and her style oozes out the whole laid back i'm dating a rockstar look- not to mention she actually is dating the filthy youth's front man (& gossip girl co-star) ed westwick. yeah not only does she have pieces in her wardrobe that i would die for (such as both black sandals in the middle photos, and those leopard print ankle boots) but she's dating the man of dreams. but back to jessica, from her hair (long and messy, super curly, or tied up), to accessories, to skinnies & minis, and her glowing beautifully exotic tan, she's got it good and yet it says "i don't really care, but i still look good". her style is way underestimated, and hopefully she can put some feedback into her character vanessa's style choices just like taylor momsen was able to do.
